Today I had my bridal shower. It was small, intimate and most important, bearable. My mom cooked for about 20 people although we only had 6 people coming. Everyone got their requisite 3 pounds of left-overs – you never leave this house without taking some food home. True to form, mom imbibed us with wine from a box and wine that had an expiration date on it. Mom also made sure everyone got a little party favor – a small wisk, because apparently she uses it and thinks everyone will use it daily. Evidently, one size wisk does not fit all.
